Loving life and loving learning!

CC Challenge A

Our Challenge programs provide Classical Christian community for home school families with students in grades 7th-12th. The Challenge Programs typically meet once a week for fifteen weeks in the fall and fifteen weeks in the winter/spring months.

Based on the Classical Model of education, students at this age move into the dialectic and rhetoric phases of learning. Students utilize our academically challenging curriculum, which is appropriately named the Challenge Curriculum. This curriculum involves Saxon Math, Apologia sciences, classic literature, writing reports, debates, and much more. Student develop and strengthen the life-long learning skills of grammar, exposition, debate, logic, rhetoric, and research. This curriculum is supplemented by weekly classroom time with a trained Challenge Director/Tutor.

CChallenge II Many parents feel inadequate to home school their students through the high school years. Our Challenge programs can help by modeling how to school with confidence during these very important years.  Being involved in our Challenge program also helps direct you through your transcript and college preparation needs, by keeping you well-informed and providing the tools you need for your record keeping.

True education...

How do you define it?

Thank you for sharing the gifts you have been given and the inspired vision for learning.  It is truly a wonderful blessing for so many of us that were searching for support, but it was not forthcoming.  I am a mother of 10 and have been homeschooling for 22 years.  I have never, in all those years, felt that I could “really do it”, until these last two years since I have been a part of CC.  My youngest is nine.  This year I have 3 in Foundations, 2 in Essentials, 1 in Challenge B, and 1 in Challenge 1.  My older kids tease me about how I have suddenly “arrived”; in the realm of home education. They are so impressed by their younger siblings' amazing newfound abilities.  I tell them that it's never too late.  I am learning by the Classical Model and they can too.  It's a lifelong adventure.  It's bittersweet for me; I wish I had had CC with the older ones.  The icing on the cake, though, and a great consolation, is the fact that my oldest daughter's children are now a part of CC.  Five of them participate in the program.  Thanks again for the impact you have had on my family and for your wonderful generosity in making what you have been blessed with, available to the rest of the world homeschool community.
